Sales at IBC Bank and Brown Bag Challenge volunteer, said, “what is so unique and inspiring about the Brown Bag Challenge is that
people give from the heart; this is for the people, from the people.”

“Brown Bag Challenge has evolved over the years through the love and consistent efforts of dedicated volunteers,” Founder Jessica
Davila-Burnett said, “what started out as a simple gesture has grown into a true mission of love for the homeless community in Corpus
Christi.”

“I have seen this movement grow through the hearts of our community, and it is so nice to have the continued support from the citizens
of Corpus Christi”, Omar Lopez, Co-Director.

"Brown Bag Challenge is grass roots; it was started out as a challenge to others to give back and has developed as a tradition in the
Coastal Bend", Dave Wilson, owner of Mulligan's Pub, Murdock's, and House of Rock.

"My entire family loves to participate and volunteer with Brown Bag Challenge", Misty Ysasi, volunteer.

"I enjoy cooking for others; I once made 1100 tamales for the 2000 Christmas Event", Lupe Davila, volunteer cook. "This is part of God's
ministry and taking care of God's children", Jesse Davila, volunteer.

"I like decorating the bags for the people and the dogs", Elleanna Longoria, age 5, volunteer.

"Brown Bag Challenge provides community service hours for the students enrolled in the ADCaP U.I.W. Program at Del Mar College",
Coeta Montgomery -U.I.W. Center Director, Corpus Christi.

"I am fortunate enough to have a hot meal. Others are not as lucky," said  Cara Edge, volunteer, one of the volunteers. "I am willing to
give up a couple of hours help out, and I hope others will do the same."

"I volunteer for Brown Bag Challenge, so that I can help others in a time of need to provide encouragement,and support", Kristin
